About the Job
Ambient Dynamics is a Hydronic HVAC equipment distributor serving British Columbia and the Yukon. The company specializes in commercial, healthcare, multi-family residential, office, and school applications — delivering technically advanced solutions across the region’s most demanding projects.
Sales Area: Lower Mainland (Metro-Vancouver and Fraser Valley)
Compensation: Competitive base salary + commission, comprehensive health benefits, vacation, mileage coverage, and travel expenses.
Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week.

Main Duties
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for planning and managing territory activities to achieve sales and market share growth, reporting directly to the Director of Sales.
- Develop new accounts among mechanical contractors and service companies through in-person interactions, lunch-and-learn meetings, trade shows, phone and email communications, and campaigns
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers in assigned territories through frequent customer visits and excellent communication
- Promote Ambient Dynamics products actively to both existing and potential customers
- Maintain an active client list and pursue new business contacts at every opportunity
- Cold call, prospect, and qualify companies within the defined region
- Help customers identify and select appropriate hydronic HVAC products by preparing technical selections, diagrams, and documentation
- Give customer demonstrations and presentations in person and via webinars
- Liaise with consulting engineers, designers, major contractors, and distributors to promote Ambient Dynamics products
- Create territory-specific sales plans and budgets; maximize sales by meeting and exceeding goals
- Provide timely sales and activity reports to the Director of Sales
- Attend trade shows to promote products and services
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and partners to ensure products remain competitive
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Extensive experience in HVAC sales, or a combination of sales and field experience as an estimator, project manager, or HVAC technical person
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC sales with a proven record of achievement
- Strong technical understanding of hydronic systems and related HVAC equipment
- Proven B2B growth track record with contractors, engineers, and service companies
- Ability to self-motivate, multitask, and work independently or within a team
- Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to develop sales plans and targets
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
